Multi-Imitation Profile. Subsurface, its spun deer-hair head traps air to wobble and mimic bottom-dwelling sculpins. On the surface, the bulky head mimics a grasshopper or large caddis.
Active Retrieves. Subsurface drifts are typically swung or stripped through deep seams, pools, and boulder transitions where bull trout wait.
Surface Skating. Fished dry (often greased with floatant) during late summer terrestrial hatches, skated or twitched across surface currents to provoke explosive cutthroat strikes .
