Expedition Gear Checklists

A meticulous approach to preparation. Whether it's a quick day on the local run or a multi-day hike into the BC backcountry, the goal is the same — nothing left to chance, nothing you don't need.

The Kootenays ask a lot of one angler: a delicate creek at dawn, a broad valley river by midday, a stocked lake at dusk, and — if you're lucky — a downrigger session for trophy trout. You can't carry a rod for everything, so the first decision is matching the tool to the water you'll actually fish.
