East Iron Creek is a headwater tributary of Iron Creek, itself a tributary of the Bull River east of Cranbrook.

East Iron Creek flows into Iron Creek within the Bull River watershed (Bull River → Kootenay River). The local network model carries it at stream order 5, mid-range in the system on the 1-to-6+ scale (1 a headwater trickle, 6+ a full river), and roughly 9 km long. Parent Iron Creek itself carries only a single direct westslope cutthroat record in the local model, so East Iron Creek's own westslope cutthroat, bull trout and rainbow signal is a reachability read, not a confirmed catch: fish could move up from the Bull if nothing blocks them, but nothing has been logged on this creek directly.

As a small, steep headwater, East Iron Creek fishes like the smallest tier of East Kootenay cutthroat water: short casts, a buoyant attractor dry over a light dropper, and quick pocket-water drifts rather than sustained runs. Nearby recorded small Bull River tributaries such as Dibble Creek and Barrier Creek show the same pattern, small habitat first, destination water second, and East Iron Creek should be scouted with the same modest expectations.
