What it means for fishing now
- Spring catchables = instant fisheries: Campbell (Fort Steele), Dogsleg (Invermere) and Cottonwood (Nelson) each took 238-gram, pan-ready rainbows in mid-June — easy family or hot-afternoon options.
- Premier Lake's annual 26k drop landed May 5 — its put-grow engine is topped up; the 2025-cohort fish are the current keepers.
- Peckhams Lake and Rockbluff (Quartz) Lake both freshly topped up — pair with a Chironomid Under Indicator or Balanced Leech on calm mornings.
- Yearlings (5–10 g) stocked May–June are next-season fish — don't chase those releases now.
Data note
Go Fish BC's report tool has no public rows API (only towns/waterbodies lookups on
stockingreports/v1) — this table was read from the rendered report. Re-pull via the
website when refreshing.
Promote?
- Mirror Lk (Bull River) and Dogsleg/Cartwright (Invermere) look like stocked stillwaters worth wiki pages if we fish that valley. 2026 releases for Premier/Peckhams/Rockbluff → their lake pages at season end.
