Access & Places
Buhl Creek Hot Springs
Key points
- Location: rock-lined creekside pools right at the Buhl/Skookumchuck confluence, about 44 km up the Skookumchuck Forest Service Road from the highway; no bridge crosses the creek, so reaching the pools means viewing from the bank or wading across.
- Season: spring runoff usually floods the pools, so they're only reliably hot from late summer into early fall — the same window Skookumchuck Creek itself fishes best.
- Use it for: a fixed, well-documented point to navigate by on the FSR; it also marks roughly where the Region 4 synopsis draws its Sept 1–Oct 31 no-fishing boundary on the Skookumchuck mainstem down to the Buhl Creek confluence.
