British Columbia — Fish by River Segment

Every named river reach — and lake — in BC, filterable by species. Pick a fish: rivers and lakes where it was actually recorded light up green. For sport fish, river reaches the fish can reach past every downstream barrier — but where no one has surveyed — show amber (a barrier-aware model, not a guess). Jump to a region or search a water, narrow by stream size, hover for a name, click for its species.

Recorded: FISS fish observations snapped by location to the Freshwater Atlas network (same-named waters never merged). Inferred (game species only): the bcfishpass fish-passage model — a reach is amber where the species can reach it past all downstream dams, falls and impassable crossings and is present in the connected network. Conservative: reaches the model shows as blocked are never inferred. © Province of BC (OGL-BC).
